LA FUENTE FOUNDATION
Tasneem Gallery is one of the founder members of an exciting new foundation. La Fuente Foundation will manage an arts and education project that will connect young people and artists around the world and encourage a lasting dialogue on global issues with a local significance.
It is the world’s youth that will ultimately have responsibility for managing the future and this project aims to help facilitate the debate that will give them the voice, and the power, to influence change. Through the use of the visual arts, and contemporary artists, La Fuente Foundation will aim to make, what can be quite difficult topics, far more accessible for debate.
Artistic expression is a worldwide phenomenon and art, with a political or social message, can be a powerful underlying force for challenging injustice. Arts education offers rich opportunities for young people to develop a range of skills, concepts and attitudes in art. Bringing in a global dimension encourages young people to recognise their unique place and potential in an inter-dependent world. The Foundation will empower them to become more globally aware and to get actively involved in the important issues facing their generation. This is the broad aim of La Fuente Foundation and Tasneem Gallery is excited to be a part of it.
